McKenna (Balkenbush) Ellerman grew up in a horse and ranching family in Sheridan Wyoming. Her families success on the race track and affinity for fast horses led her to be enthralled with the western way of life. She quickly took to riding, roping, barrel racing, and ranching alongside her parents.


Her families businesses, horses, and ranching operations also led her to appreciate hard work and management. After graduating from the University of Wyoming on a rodeo scholarship she married Brit Ellerman and continued to rodeo professionally. She knew she wanted to take her skills and knowledge and help others. She currently runs her business while also training many of her home raised horses, running some of her own cattle, helping on the ranch, and rodeoing professionally in the break away and barrels and jackpot team roping.
